A Complete VRF Solution for Holiday Inn Sunderland

The Holiday Inn Sunderland, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, recently selected Midea units for high-performance, cost-effective cooling and heating in all areas of their newly constructed hotel.

Situated in the ‘vibrant hub’ of Sunderland city centre, which is established as a prime destination for both business and leisure, the hotel requires the highest quality cooling and heating for their new and returning guests.

This large project required concise planning for the new construction, which was part of the city’s ‘huge’ regeneration project. Opening its doors in December 2022, the four-storey building is equipped with 120 Midea VRF V6 ducted units in the stylish hotel bedrooms, VRF V6 Roundflow cassettes throughout the reception, dining, and communal areas and VRF wall mounted units in the staff rooms, offices, and comms room.

The successful installation was completed by Midea’s approved Mi Pro partner, Turn Key Air Conditioning. By maintaining the equipment annually, Turn Key will offer The Holiday Inn, Sunderland, a 10 year parts and labour warranty on all of their systems.

Turn Key Air Conditioning gained their Mi Pro status after completing product training at Midea’s HVAC training academy at Sunderland AFC’s, Stadium of Light, just a short walk away from the Holiday Inn. Given the Holiday Inn’s prime location, it is Midea’s chosen hotel for hosting their key partners on match days.
