Smarter Comfort for B&M’s Stourport-on-Severn Store
For the redevelopment of a former retail unit into B&M’s latest impressive store in Stourport-on-Severn, the retailer required a modern, efficient HVAC system to meet their customer experience and sustainability standards. Midea was chosen for its flexibility and proven performance, with Thermatic Technical FM appointed to design and install the system. The system features two 56kW Mini VRF outdoor units, ten 4-way cassettes, and a heat recovery ventilation unit, seamlessly integrated with the store’s BMS. Centralised controls provide precise temperature and energy management, helping to reduce operating costs without compromising comfort. Midea’s zoning flexibility and efficient refrigerant control deliver consistent comfort for staff and shoppers while keeping energy use low. Extended pipework options simplify installation, and the project was completed ahead of schedule, allowing trading to start earlier than planned.
